1st TIP: START NOW AND HERE
Starting now and here mean different things to different people. Essentially it means starting with WHAT IS POSSIBLE FOR YOU. If you can change your whole kitchen, your whole family, your whole diet and lifestyle so much the better. If you can't, you can try some of the following
Start with one thing. E.g. choose to cook with a cold pressed oil such as peanut, coconut or sesame. When that gets easy add another. e.g switch to unpolished rice. Or start with fruits. Whatever you choose, start and stick with it a while before starting something else.
Substitute the foods you find easy to substitute first. e.g. introduce millets or unpolished rice. Begin using in idlis or dosas first before serving it undisguised to reluctant family members.
